Oregon Technology Hizmetleri A.Ş. in collaboration with Antakya Chamber
of Commerce and Industry, recently delivered 50 container offices that were
prepared to heal the wounds of earthquake-stricken logisticians in Hatay to the
rightful owners. During the delivery ceremony, Eyüp Bartık, the Chairman of the
Oregon Board of Directors, conveyed messages of unity and solidarity.
In the
mobilization efforts for our fellow citizens who were deeply affected by the
earthquake, Oregon Technology Hizmetleri A.Ş. continues to do its part in
collaboration with Antakya Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Oregon, with its
successful establishment of 200 partnerships in Gaziantep, Mersin, Kayseri,
Konya, and Hatay, has been providing significant support to earthquake victims
since February 6th. This time, Oregon prepared 50 container offices for the
earthquake-stricken logisticians in Hatay who lost their homes and offices.
Embracing the idea of "solidarity with the customer and the customer
becoming a partner to the company," Oregon delivered the containers on
Saturday, May 27th, at a ceremony held at Aysa Automotive - Volvo and Iveco
service area. The program, aimed at enabling Hatay's logisticians to continue
their operations and contribute value to our country, was supported by Antakya
Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
FROM
THE VERY BEGINNING, WE HAVE BEEN FULLY COMMITTED AND MOBILIZED
During
his speech at the event, Eyüp Bartık, the Chairman of Oregon's Board of
Directors, emphasized the unity and solidarity of the logistics sector. He
stated, "Hatay, Kahramanmaraş, and Adıyaman were the cities that suffered
the most damage in this earthquake. Adıyaman and Kahramanmaraş have managed to
recover to some extent, but unfortunately, Hatay has lagged behind these
cities. It is easier for logisticians to come together and establish unity and
solidarity. We witnessed this during the earthquake. In fact, earthquake and
disaster relief is a logistics job. We understood this once again when we got
involved in it. Immediately after the earthquake, we organized a team in
Gaziantep. We distributed the cargo that arrived at the airport to these
regions. After a while, everyone started to resume their normal lives. However,
we realized that Hatay couldn't return to normalcy. We consulted with Hikmet
Çinçin, the President of Antakya Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and our
colleagues. Our initial goal was to create a container city here, but we
received requests from our colleagues to build container offices instead."
Expressing
his support for the logistics sector under any circumstances, Bartık continued
his speech as follows: "One who sleeps well while their neighbor is hungry
is not one of us. If Hatay is in pain, our hearts ache as well. That's why we
believe and will continue to believe that we need to put our hands, arms, and
our entire bodies under the stone. We value collaboration. Here, I estimate
that there are about 100 business owners as my friends. These hundred companies
are each other's competitors, but at the end of the day, they all do business
together. There is no other sector like this in the world. We are one, we are
together, and we will continue to be together. The world, life is too short.
It's not worth hurting or breaking anyone in this short life. I genuinely thank
you for your love, respect, loyalty, and friendship. May God never show any of
us such pain again. And if such pain is experienced, let us be together like
this. Shoulder to shoulder, back to back, let us share this destiny."
